PRSA Chesapeake Postpones Its June 2024 PR Bazaar Event

The board of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chesapeake Chapter has decided to postpone its PR Bazaar slated for June 13. Here is a message from our chapter president, Elizabeth Wrightson:

“Over the past year, PRSA Chesapeake has seen the media landscape shift and change rather dramatically about how outlets process their content and select what information they choose to promote. This has, in return, made the process for non-profits and small businesses to get published and spotlighted more difficult and less transparent. The rapid onset of using AI has also created a steep learning curve for many of us.

“In order to create a more effective PR Bazaar that addresses these big shifts, we are pushing the pause button on this month’s Bazaar event to best address these obstacles and offer attendees a better product that can best help your organizations effectively promote the good work that you all do. We will continue to communicate with you as we rethink the PR Bazaar and how it can help you the most.

“In the meantime, registrants’ payments will be reimbursed. Please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas about how we can improve the event via [email protected]. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to offering industry experts’ insights and meaningful content to you.”

Stay tuned for a new and different media event at prsachesapeake.com and our Facebook page. Send questions to [email protected].
